Alteogen announced on December 26 that it has appointed Executive Vice President Jeon Taeyeon as the new CEO.
The board of directors of Alteogen resolved on this day to accept the resignation of Chairman Park Soonjae from the CEO position and to appoint Executive Vice President Jeon as the new CEO.
Even after his resignation, Chairman Park will remain as an inside director and as chairman of the board. The company stated, "Chairman Park will focus on establishing the company's long-term vision and strategic direction, discovering next-generation pipelines following the proprietary human hyaluronidase technology 'ALT-B4,' and contributing to the establishment of a board-centered management system."
Chairman Park has led Alteogen since its founding in 2008.
The new CEO, Jeon, holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry and is a U.S. patent attorney, making him an expert in the bio field. Since joining Alteogen in 2020, he has overseen the business development division.
The company explained that the new CEO, Jeon, contributed to the commercialization of ALT-B4 by successfully closing several contracts with global big pharma companies.
