On December 26, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced the list of 1,087 candidates who passed the first round of the 2026 secondary school teacher appointment examination through the NAISE online staff recruitment system.

According to the provincial office of education, a total of 2,793 applicants competed for 635 positions (550 at public schools and 85 at private schools), resulting in an average competition rate of 4.39 to 1. Among those who passed the first round, 763 are for public schools and 324 are for private schools.

Successful candidates must submit the required supporting documents in person or by mail over the two-day period from December 29 to 30. Individual results and scores can be checked on the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education’s online staff recruitment system until January 9 of next year.

The second round of the examination will begin with the practical evaluation on January 14 and 15, followed by the teaching demonstration on January 20, and the in-depth interview on teaching aptitude on January 21. The final list of successful candidates will be announced on the provincial office of education’s website on February 5, 2026.
