Agreement Reached to Limit Total Personnel Expense Increase to 3.0%
Seoul Energy Corporation (President Hwang Boyeon) has continued its mature labor-management culture by reaching a wage agreement for the ninth consecutive year without any labor disputes. On December 25, the corporation announced that it had finalized the 2025 wage agreement through negotiations with the Seoul Energy Corporation Labor Union at its Mokdong headquarters on December 24.
Under this agreement, labor and management have agreed to increase the total personnel expenses for 2025 by no more than 3.0% compared to the previous year. The negotiation was concluded without any labor-management conflict, while still adhering to the government's total personnel expense guidelines.
This settlement is particularly noteworthy as it marks the ninth consecutive year of a dispute-free wage agreement since 2017. In an environment where labor-management relations at public institutions often escalate into conflict, Seoul Energy Corporation's stable and cooperative relationship stands out.
A company representative stated, "Trust and cooperation between labor and management will not only enhance management stability, but also serve as a key driver for the corporation’s sustainable growth and return to profitability."
Seoul Energy Corporation plans to further solidify the foundation for labor-management coexistence through this wage agreement and to secure momentum for a return to profitability by maintaining a sound financial structure and responsible management. The corporation also aims to faithfully fulfill its role as a trusted public enterprise for citizens and to lead the transition to future energy as a public energy institution.
