Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (headed by Lee Sangwook) held the 4th Gori Nuclear Power Communication Committee meeting for 2025 on the 22nd.
Lee Sangwook, Head of Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, stated, "This year, Gori Headquarters achieved meaningful results, including the continued operation of Gori Unit 2 and the approval for the decommissioning of Gori Unit 1, thanks to the support and cooperation of the local community." He added, "We will continue to communicate closely and cooperate with the local community to resolve current issues and pursue mutual development."
During the 4th meeting for 2025, the headquarters reported on the status of the plant, including the schedule for facility improvements related to the continued operation of Gori Units 2 to 4, major trends, and local cooperation activities. This was followed by an open discussion among the committee members, providing an opportunity to promote harmony with the local community.
The Gori Nuclear Power Communication Committee is a council composed of county council members, public officials, journalists, and local development experts to ensure constant communication with local residents, and is held four times a year.
Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to transparently and promptly share information about plant operations with the local community through the activities of the Communication Committee and to actively participate in local events.
