Hyundai Steel Industry Employees Deliver Neighborly Love Donations

The Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea (hereinafter referred to as Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on December 24 that employees of Hyundai Steel Industry collected precious donations together and delivered neighborly love donations for their neighbors.

The donation ceremony, held at the Yulchon-myeon Community Center in Yeosu, was attended by Yoon Jongsam, Plant Manager of Hyundai Steel Industry's Yulchon Plant, Kim Su-eon, Mayor of Yulchon-myeon, and Lee Hyunseung, Team Leader at Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae.

The 5.43 million won in donations delivered that day was raised by employees of the Yulchon Plant and will be fully used to fund welfare projects for vulnerable groups within Yulchon-myeon.

Since 2015, Hyundai Steel Industry's Yulchon Plant has donated approximately 49 million won and continues to engage in ongoing sharing activities in cooperation with the local community.

Yoon Jongsam, Plant Manager of Yulchon Plant, stated, "Together with our employees, we collected donations to participate in the Hope Sharing Campaign for neighbors in need during the year-end and New Year season," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibility through ongoing sharing."

Lee Hyunseung, Team Leader at Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae, commented, "The neighborly love shown every year by Hyundai Steel Industry employees brings vitality and warmth to the Jeonnam community," and added, "Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae will also do its best as a reliable social contribution partner for Hyundai Steel Industry."

Meanwhile, the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign will run for 62 days until January 31 next year under the slogan "Donations that add happiness, Jeonnam changed by giving." The funds raised through the campaign will be used in a total of eight welfare areas, including basic living support, improvement of residential environments, education and self-reliance, and health care.
