The police have launched a preliminary investigation into a woman in her 20s who discharged a fire extinguisher at a cafe in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
On December 24, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced that it is conducting a preliminary investigation into Ms. A, a woman in her 20s, on suspicion of obstruction of business.
At around 6 p.m. the previous day, Ms. A caused a disturbance by discharging a fire extinguisher at a cafe in Yeoksam-dong and was voluntarily taken to the police by responding officers. As a result of the incident, more than 70 people, including cafe customers, evacuated the premises, but no injuries were reported.
No signs of alcohol consumption or drug use were found in relation to Ms. A.
The police plan to investigate Ms. A in detail regarding her motives and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
