Yangju City Library Welcomes the New Year "With an Excited Heart"... January Theme Books Now Available Yangju City Library will operate a monthly planned program to systematically support citizens' reading habits in the New Year. Provided by Yangju City

Yangju City Library selects a specific theme each month and operates the "Library with Twelve Monthly Themes" to provide citizens with reading guidance that matches the season and current trends.

The theme for January is "With an Excited Heart," featuring books focused on new beginnings and changes that come with the start of the year.

This month's recommended books include "Records Made with Joy: The Tomorrow Shaped by the Habit of Consistent Journaling" by author Sim Daeun, which highlights the value of steady record-keeping, and the children's book "The Name of the Beginning" by Shelley Moore Thomas, which conveys the message that every ending is also a new beginning. The selection covers both adults and children, allowing readers of all ages to reflect on the meaning of a fresh start.

A library official said, "We hope that the January theme books become an opportunity for citizens to view the changed environment of the New Year positively and to consider new hobbies and mindsets to become a slightly different version of themselves than yesterday."

Meanwhile, the "Library with Twelve Monthly Themes" is operated throughout the year to encourage voluntary reading among citizens through monthly book exhibitions and recommendations tailored to each theme, with the goal of spreading a reading culture in daily life.
