Shinhan University (President Kang Sungjong) and Grammy Co., Ltd. have joined forces to jointly implement ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives based on industry-academic cooperation.

The Shinhan University ESG Innovation Team and Grammy Co., Ltd. signed an industry-academic ESG business agreement (MOU) on the 19th at the headquarters of Grammy Co., Ltd. in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province. The two organizations agreed to establish a cooperative system to realize a sustainable society and foster future talent.
The signing ceremony was attended by Nam Jonghyun, Chairman of Grammy, Director Kim Myungjin, and officials from Shinhan University. Both parties agreed to pursue practical cooperation in the fields of education, research, and social contribution, with a focus on spreading ESG values.
At the signing ceremony, Nam Jonghyun, Chairman of Grammy, stated, "Corporate sustainability begins with social responsibility, beyond profit." He emphasized, "Sharing and volunteering are especially important values that both companies and universities must practice together." He added, "I hope this agreement will serve as a meaningful starting point for ESG initiatives benefiting the local community and future generations."
Kwon Ogeun, Professor and Director of Public Relations at Shinhan University, said, "This industry-academic ESG agreement is an exemplary case of a university and a company fulfilling their shared responsibility for a sustainable future." He added, "Shinhan University will work together with Grammy to foster ESG-based talent and create social value."
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate in various areas, including: jointly promoting ESG education and talent development programs; conducting industry-academic research and projects; expanding community contribution and sharing activities; and exchanging information related to sustainable management.
Meanwhile, Shinhan University is strengthening its industry-academic cooperation and community engagement as a university leading ESG education and practice, while Grammy Co., Ltd. is also continuously expanding its ESG management to fulfill its corporate social responsibility.
