Kwangdong Pharmaceutical Launches Drunk Driving Prevention Campaign

Kwangdong Pharmaceutical announced on December 24 that, in collaboration with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, it conducted a drunk driving prevention campaign linked to its hangover relief product, "Hutgae Power Stick Jelly," in light of the increased frequency of drinking during the year-end season.

The campaign was organized under the concept "Healthy Drinking Culture, No to Drunk Driving," aiming to promote responsible drinking habits and highlight the importance of managing hangovers in daily life. The official mascots of the National Police Agency, Podori and Posuni, participated in the event, directly engaging with citizens to encourage voluntary participation and empathy.

The event, held around Samseong Station in Seoul, a busy area frequented by office workers, featured a variety of interactive programs such as "Pledge to Prohibit Drunk Driving," "Share Traffic Safety Ideas," and the "Podori SNS Photo Certification" event. Every participant received a Hutgae Power Stick Jelly, and Podori and Posuni mascot keyrings were also given to early participants, resulting in a highly positive response.

Hutgae Power Stick Jelly is a jelly-type hangover relief supplement containing 540mg of Hovenia dulcis fruit extract concentrate, 1g of lactic acid bacteria-fermented garlic extract powder (including 2.8mg of cycloalliin), 1 billion lactic acid bacteria cells, and 100mg of taurine per stick. Human trials showed a significant improvement in hangover symptoms as early as 15 minutes after alcohol consumption.
