Mariinsky Principal Dancer Kim Ki-min to Expand Performances in Korea with Exclusive Contract at Prain Global

Kim Ki-min, principal dancer of the Mariinsky Ballet in Russia, has signed an exclusive management contract with Prain Global and will be increasing his activities in Korea.

On the 23rd, Prain Global announced the exclusive contract with Kim Ki-min, stating that he will expand his activities in Korea while also establishing an artistic foundation to engage more closely with domestic audiences.

Kim Ki-min drew attention in 2011 when he became the first Asian principal dancer in the history of the Mariinsky Ballet, which is considered one of the world’s top ballet companies. In 2016, he further solidified his status in the global dance world by winning the Best Male Dancer award at the Benois de la Danse, often referred to as the Academy Awards of dance. He is recognized as a dancer who not only faithfully embodies the strict technique and narrative of classical ballet but also delicately expresses the psychology and emotions of his characters.
