"Field-Oriented Legislative Work Focused on Improving Residents' Lives"
Min Byunghee, a member of the Buyeo County Council (Democratic Party of Korea, Buyeo, Gyuyam), has been recognized for outstanding performance in a legislative evaluation targeting local council members nationwide.
On December 24, the Buyeo County Council announced that Min Byunghee received the 'Excellence Award' in the basic council category at the '2025 Korea Local Autonomy Evaluation Linked Legislative Policy Awards' ceremony, which was held on December 19 at the main conference hall of the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Seoul.
This Legislative Policy Award is organized by the Yeouido Policy Research Institute and hosted by the public interest organization Monitoring Korea. The award recipients are selected through a comprehensive evaluation of ordinance drafting achievements, policy contributions, and contributions to the development of local autonomy among members of metropolitan and basic councils nationwide.
Assemblywoman Min was highly praised for her policy proposals that reflect local issues, effective ordinance activities, and field-oriented legislative work, all of which contributed to improving the quality of life for residents.
In particular, she was recognized for her efforts to improve systems based on local realities and for actively reflecting the opinions of county residents in her legislative activities.
Assemblywoman Min stated, "At a time when the role and responsibility of local councils have become even more important, receiving such a meaningful award gives me a strong sense of responsibility," adding, "I will continue to repay the trust of the residents with policies and ordinances that provide practical benefits to their daily lives."
Meanwhile, Assemblywoman Min has maintained a record of continuous legislative achievements, having received the Grand Prize in the Legislative Policy Awards in 2021 and 2022, the Top Excellence Award in 2024, and the Excellence Award this year, totaling four recognitions.
