The opening ceremony for the Europe Fulfillment Center was held on the 15th (local time) in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and was attended by key local stakeholders, including President Hyunmin Cho and President and CEO Nam Sok Noh of Hanjin. The new Hanjin center is located 10 minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and one hour from the Port of Rotterdam.

The center, completed in October, is a state-of-the-art facility operating as a "hybrid hub" that handles both B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) logistics. It is large enough to manage and process not only large-scale B2B cargo storage for local distribution networks but also B2C direct-to-consumer deliveries on a regular basis.

Through this hub, Hanjin will provide "comprehensive logistics solutions" to Korean brands seeking to enter the European market. The company will offer packaging and labeling services tailored to the inbound requirements of global platforms such as TikTok and Amazon, as well as local offline channels. In addition, Hanjin will handle detailed B2C logistics, including order management for brand-owned online stores, and connect last-mile services across Europe.

Hanjin will also actively support the resolution of complex customs clearance and value-added tax (VAT) issues, which are considered the biggest barriers to entering the European market. The company plans to provide value-added services covering everything from establishing local corporations and tax filing to responding to local regulations.

Looking ahead, Hanjin plans to develop additional linked business models such as air forwarding to Korea and transatlantic routes. Through these efforts, the company aims to complete a logistics network connecting its European hub with its global network, including Los Angeles and Incheon GDC.
