The Outstanding Institution for Educational Donation certification system is designed to encourage companies, universities, and public institutions to open their resources and infrastructure to educational settings. Institutions are selected through a comprehensive review of their educational donation achievements, the public interest and stability of their programs, and their overall social contribution.
The Korea Classic Translation Institute received high marks for operating a variety of educational donation programs tailored to its institutional characteristics, such as the "I Am Also a Classic Translator!" career exploration program, the "Classics Classroom" for multicultural families, the "Exploring Our Classics" program for children and people with disabilities, and the "Classic Book Play Instructor Training Course."
Director Kim Unjong stated, "This certification is a recognition of our social role and efforts to popularize classics as a specialized translation institution," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our responsibilities as a public institution by operating substantial educational donation programs for diverse groups."
