Sharing Spirit in Action with Daily Necessities and Orchestra Concerts
On December 21, ahead of Christmas, the Friends Talent Volunteer Group under POSCO Gwangyang Steelworks (headed by Ko Jaeyoon) delivered Christmas cakes prepared for children from multicultural families in the local community, sharing warmth and love.
The Friends Volunteer Group organized this event with the hope that children celebrating Christmas would enjoy a warm year-end with their families, filled with happy smiles.

Despite the cold weather, around 20 members of the Friends Volunteer Group and 25 participants from multicultural families gathered at the Gwangyang City Family Center to prepare sweet gifts for the children. Together, they made Christmas cakes filled with a variety of fruits such as strawberries and tangerines, as well as cream, creating a festive atmosphere.
Dressed as Santa Claus for the day, members of the Friends Talent Volunteer Group personally delivered the handmade Christmas cakes to 50 multicultural households in the region. The children who received the cakes from the volunteers were all smiles.
One child who received a cake said, "It felt like a real Santa appeared to deliver this surprise gift," adding, "Thanks to you, I think I will have a very happy Christmas again this year."
Choi Changrok, leader of the Friends Talent Volunteer Group, said, "I am proud that our volunteers and multicultural families were able to bring happiness to children ahead of Christmas with cakes we made together," and added, "I hope the children will spend the holidays filled with warm love together with their families."
Meanwhile, Gwangyang Steelworks is actively engaging in various events to promote mutual growth and coexistence with the local community as the year-end approaches, including the delivery of blankets and kimchi for the holidays, a donation of 2,000 kilograms of rice and daily necessities kits, and hosting the Forever Wind Orchestra's regular concert.
