Gyeonggi Province has produced the 'Guidebook for Hygiene Management in Food Manufacturing and Processing Industries' to strengthen the autonomous hygiene management capabilities of local food manufacturing and processing companies, and will begin distributing it sequentially from the 23rd.
The 'Hygiene Management Guidebook' was created based on an analysis of the hygiene management evaluation tables, specifically targeting food manufacturing and processing companies in the province that were classified as general management companies according to the 2024 Hygiene Management Grading System assessment results.
Gyeonggi Province has focused on moving away from theory-based materials and instead providing a practical manual that can be immediately utilized in the field, aiming to enhance companies' hygiene management standards and their ability to comply with relevant regulations.

The guidebook includes: ▲ guidance on hygiene management vulnerabilities by company, ▲ posters containing hygiene management rules that are easy to apply in the field, such as essential pre-operation checklists, and ▲ various legal document templates required under food hygiene-related laws. In particular, it is organized around management points that are often overlooked in routine operations to maximize its effectiveness.
Through the distribution of this guidebook, Gyeonggi Province expects to further strengthen the foundation for autonomous food safety management by systematizing the preparation of legal documents, improving workplace hygiene management standards, and providing customized materials.
Jung Yeonpyo, Director of Food Safety at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The 'Hygiene Management Guidebook' is a practical resource that reflects feedback from the field, helping companies check and improve their own hygiene standards," adding, "We will continue to enhance the autonomous hygiene management capabilities of food manufacturing and processing companies to create a food safety environment that residents can trust."
