Andong City Strengthens Organizational Capacity with Promotions: 49 Approved at Year-End Personnel Committee Andong City Hall

On December 22, Andong City announced that it had convened a personnel committee and approved promotions for a total of 49 employees. This round of appointments was carried out evenly across key municipal sectors such as policy planning, welfare and health, and safety and infrastructure. It is characterized by practical appointments focused on personnel with both field experience and expertise.

By rank, promotions were made widely across all job series-including administration, taxation, social welfare, medical technology, industry, agriculture, maritime and fisheries, health, IT, and disaster safety-with one employee promoted from Grade 5 Facilities to Grade 4 Science and Technology.

Lee Daedong, Head of the Water Resources Policy Division, was promoted to Grade 4 Science and Technology, strengthening expertise in water resource management and urban infrastructure policy. In Grade 5 Administration, Kim Jeonghwa (Clean Water Policy Division) and Kim Jongkyu (Local Era Policy Office) were promoted, and are expected to play pivotal roles in policy and strategy.

In Grade 5 Social Welfare, Kim Jinhui (Social Welfare Division) and Lee Hani (Senior and Disabled Persons Division) were promoted, increasing the proportion of appointments in the welfare sector. Promotions were also made in the health, nursing, and medical technology series, reinforcing the city's capabilities in public health and care administration.

In addition, several promotions were made in departments directly related to citizens' daily lives, such as the Safety and Disaster Division, Sewerage Division, Water Supply Division, and Urban Design Division, raising expectations for stable operation of community-centered administrative services.

An Andong City official stated, "This round of appointments was not biased toward any particular department or job series, but focused on practical achievements and field experience," adding, "With the new year approaching, the goal is to strengthen both organizational stability and policy execution capacity."

These promotions were approved as of December 22, 2025, and subsequent position assignments will be carried out sequentially through the relevant procedures.
