Winter Intensive Opening of the "Gonggam Training Center" in the New Year
The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency announced on December 22 that it will conduct the winter intensive opening of the "Gonggam Training Center," allowing public access to its training facilities for one month from January 1 to 31 next year.
This winter intensive opening follows the first summer intensive opening of the training center, making it the second such initiative. The program is designed to enhance the value of public facility utilization by opening training centers owned by public institutions and to strengthen cooperation with local communities.
The facilities to be opened include six training centers nationwide: Ansan, Taebaek, Cheonan, Gwangju, Gyeongsan, and Jinhae. However, the Gangwon Training Center in Taebaek will be open exclusively to small and medium-sized enterprises and their employees.
During the intensive opening period, key facilities such as lecture halls, sports facilities, and seminar rooms will be available for use. Visitors to the training centers will receive commemorative gifts. In addition, a VR (virtual reality)-based "facility preview" feature has been introduced, and the reservation system has been improved to further enhance accessibility and convenience for users.
Cho Hankyo, Director of Human Resources Development at the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, stated, "With the new year, we hope that the 'Gonggam Training Center,' which opens its doors to the local community, will become even more meaningful to the public," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our role as an open training center that coexists with the region."
