"Gyeonggi Unity" is a new community model created for the first time in Korea by Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH), utilizing the neighborhood living facility within Dasan Jigeum A5 Block Happy Housing. It combines essential public services such as care and welfare with private services including sports, culture, and leisure, allowing all generations to interact and engage in daily life together.

The event was attended by more than 30 people, including Deputy Mayor Hong Jisun, City Council Chairman Cho Sungdae, GH President Kim Yongjin, and Gyeonggi Province First Deputy Governor Kim Sungjung. The program included a project progress report, a presentation on the vision for community restoration, a commemorative ceremony, and a tour of the space.

The first floor of Gyeonggi Unity features a play area and community lounge for infants, young children, and their parents. The second floor is equipped with a health promotion room, an indoor park golf course, and a community kitchen-facilities designed for use by all generations together.

This project was implemented through a collaborative approach: GH provided the space, Namyangju City connected public programs, and a private operator planned and managed the content. Attracting attention as a community model closely linked to the local area, it is expected to be expanded from Dasan Jigeum District to various residential areas, including the third phase of new towns.

Deputy Mayor Hong Jisun stated, "Gyeonggi Unity is a community hub where all generations can naturally interact while enjoying the services they need in daily life. Our city will work closely with GH to develop this pilot project into a successful model and expand it to new public housing districts such as Wangsuk District."
