Bereaved Families Call for Thorough Investigation
Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: "We Take Your Concerns Seriously"
As the first anniversary of the December 29 Jeju Air passenger plane disaster approaches, bereaved families held a memorial rally in downtown Seoul, calling for a thorough investigation into the incident.

On the 20th, about 300 people, including more than 40 bereaved family members, attended the Seoul Citizens' Memorial Rally in front of Bosingak in Jongno-gu. They demanded the establishment of an independent accident investigation committee and the identification of those responsible.
The representative of the bereaved families' association emphasized, "Although 179 people lost their lives, no one has been held accountable yet," adding, "For the bereaved families, true consolation comes from uncovering the truth." Government officials responded by promising more attentive support, stating that they would take the concerns of the bereaved families seriously.
The bereaved families are continuing their 'Bus of Truth and Solidarity' campaign, visiting disaster sites across the country, and plan to hold an official memorial ceremony at Muan International Airport on the anniversary, December 29.
