Yoonsoop Bakery Launches Three Limited-Edition Christmas Cakes Featuring Seasonal Desserts

Yoonsoop Bakery, a bakery cafe brand located in Gunja, is launching three new Christmas cakes for the holiday season.

The newly released Yoonsoop Christmas cakes include two types of strawberry fresh cream cakes, the "Igloo Cake" and the "Santa Bear Cake," as well as a chocolate strawberry fresh cream B?che de No?l.

The B?che de No?l is a log-shaped chocolate cake made with chocolate genoise and ganache cream, capturing the festive spirit of the Christmas season. According to Yoonsoop, these Christmas cakes have been designed with three different concepts in mind, catering to various Christmas moments such as family gatherings, couples, and small parties.

Yoonsoop is a bakery cafe brand in the Gunja area known for offering seasonal fruit-based desserts. Their p?tissiers personally plan and create seasonal desserts using ingredients sourced directly from individual farms. This season's cakes feature Nonsan strawberries, known for their excellent balance of sweetness and acidity, paired with a soft and light chantilly cream that highlights the natural flavor of the fruit.

Notably, Yoonsoop is jointly operated by pastry chef Kim Yonghoon, a certified Korean master baker, and his wife, pastry chef Heo Yoon. Kim Yonghoon gained recognition as the youngest person to pass the master baker certification at the time, after working as a senior researcher in cake development at SPC Group and Paris Croissant Innovation Lab. Heo Yoon has won the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award at a bakery competition and is currently active as a career mentor in Seongnam City.

Yoonsoop currently operates three stores with distinct concepts: "Yoonsoop," "Yoonsoop Fruits Sando," and "Yoonsoop Confectionery." The brand is recognized for designing the Gunja area as a dessert course, establishing itself as a dessert hotspot with signature items such as fruit sando, yakisoba bread, silky pudding, and melon parfait.

This year's Yoonsoop Christmas cakes will be available from Saturday, December 20, to Thursday, December 25, exclusively at the first store, "Yoonsoop," which specializes in cakes. Orders will primarily be taken through Naver Reservation, with a limited quantity available for in-store purchase. Customers who pre-order by the 19th will receive a 5% discount. Yoonsoop plans to continue building its brand identity by focusing on seasonal and ingredient-driven desserts.

Pastry chef Kim Yonghoon said, "I believe Christmas is a season to quietly reflect and wrap up the year, rather than simply making things more extravagant," adding, "We aimed to create cakes that highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients and the feeling of the season in a way that is true to Yoonsoop." Pastry chef Heo Yoon shared, "We prepared these cakes hoping they would naturally complement moments spent with family, loved ones, and those dear to you."
