Gimpo City Holds Discussion Meeting with Neighborhood Leaders Association

Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province held a discussion meeting with the Gimpo City Neighborhood Leaders Association (Chairman Heo Jinwook) in the main conference room of Gimpo City Hall on the 18th, where key municipal issues were shared and opinions from residents in different regions were gathered.

This meeting was attended by members of the Neighborhood Leaders Association from 14 towns and districts, as well as the mayor of Gimpo City. The city requested cooperation regarding major municipal publicity items and exchanged opinions on issues closely related to the daily lives of residents in each region.

In particular, members shared their views on pressing issues directly affecting residents, such as the Gyeyangcheon retention basin and the relocation of the fire station in Gurae-dong related to citizen safety. They agreed to work together to find solutions for these matters.

Heo Jinwook, Chairman of the Gimpo City Neighborhood Leaders Association, said, "I would like to thank the mayor and the heads of the neighborhood leaders associations for making time to discuss local issues together despite the busy year-end period," and added, "Our association will take the lead and assume responsibility in working closely with the city to create administration that residents can truly feel."

Kim Byungsoo, Mayor of Gimpo City, expressed his gratitude by saying, "I am grateful to the neighborhood leaders for their dedication to local issues throughout the year," and requested continued cooperation, stating, "Next year as well, we will focus on policies that directly impact citizens' lives and ensure that even the smallest issues are addressed without being overlooked."

Gimpo City is enhancing citizens' understanding of municipal affairs and listening to even the smallest opinions of local residents through regular meetings with the Neighborhood Leaders Association, which communicates directly with citizens. The city plans to continue its field-oriented administration through ongoing communication in the future.
