Polaris Office announced on December 19 that it had received the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the '4th Cloud In Night' event held at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul.

This event, hosted annually by the Korea Cloud Industry Association, recognizes outstanding companies and individuals who have contributed to the development of the cloud industry. Polaris Office was selected as an outstanding company at this year's event and was honored with the Minister of Science and ICT Award.

Through its self-developed cloud office service, Polaris Office has secured more than 140 million accumulated users worldwide, and has combined security technology and artificial intelligence (AI) features with its office engine.

Based on this technological capability, the company was highly praised for contributing to digital transformation by providing paperless smart work environment solutions to various business (B2B) and public (B2G) clients.

In particular, the company was recognized for pioneering a new paradigm in cloud work productivity by launching an AI office service that incorporates generative AI, which has recently attracted global attention.

Polaris Office is also pursuing a more aggressive strategy to expand in the public and enterprise markets. This year, the company acquired HandysSoft, a leading groupware solution provider, building a portfolio that covers office software, groupware, and AI, and accelerating its efforts to target the B2G and B2B markets in the government and corporate sectors.

HandysSoft is a collaboration software company with over 2 million users across more than 1,300 institutions in the public, financial, corporate, education, and healthcare sectors. Through this acquisition, Polaris Office has strengthened its position as a leading domestic solution provider driving digital transformation in Korea by combining HandysSoft's robust public sector network with its own AI-based document technologies.

The significance of this Ministerial Award lies in the continued recognition of Polaris Office's technological innovation. The company previously received the Cloud Industry Grand Prize (Minister of Science and ICT Award) at the 2023 Grand Cloud Conference, and with this latest award, it has once again proven its ongoing leadership in innovation within the industry. The company emphasized, "It is meaningful that we have been repeatedly recognized by the government for our consistent achievements, not just one-off results."

Jiunkyung Ji, CEO of Polaris Office, commented, "This award is a recognition of our vision to achieve work innovation through the convergence of AI and cloud," adding, "We will continue to enhance our corporate value and further solidify the trust of shareholders and the market through ongoing technological innovation and solid business performance."

Polaris Office plans to further accelerate its AI and cloud integration strategy, aiming to enhance both technological competitiveness and corporate value in domestic and global markets, and to become a trusted global software company for shareholders and customers alike.
