The UN SDGs Association, a special consultative status organization with the UN Economic and Social Council, has been evaluating the level of sustainable management of organizations and companies worldwide since 2016 and publishes the SDGBI annually.

The SDGBI consists of four main areas-social, environmental, economic, and institutional-across 12 categories and 48 detailed indicators. It comprehensively evaluates companies' ESG performance, including efforts for environmental conservation, social and economic initiatives and their ripple effects, governance and institutional improvement, as well as ESG financial activities and infrastructure development.

KOTEC was highly recognized for its contribution to creating a sustainable management ecosystem through comprehensive ESG management activities, such as introducing taxonomy evaluation guarantees to foster the green technology industry, expanding Social Contribution Week to promote a culture of sharing, operating a Youth Board to enhance communication among employees, and running a Management Committee to systematically advance ESG management.

Chun Changho, Director of KOTEC, stated, "Being selected as the top group for two consecutive years is a valuable achievement that demonstrates external recognition of KOTEC's consistent efforts to implement ESG management as a public institution. Building on this achievement, KOTEC will continue to strengthen responsible ESG management as a public institution and take the lead in creating a sustainable economic ecosystem together with small and venture businesses."

Meanwhile, KOTEC has established itself as a leading public institution in ESG by receiving various awards this year, including the highest grade in the Win-Win Growth Evaluation, certification as an excellent institution for fair recruitment (for two consecutive years), the grand prize in the internal audit category at the Korea Auditors Conference (for two consecutive years), and a commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy for contributions to sustainable management.
