Actress Yoon Seokhwa (69), who has been battling a brain tumor, is currently reported to be in critical condition.
The Korea Theater Actors Association issued a press release at around 5 a.m. on December 19, stating that actress Yoon Seokhwa had passed away the previous day. However, this was later confirmed to be untrue.
As the report spread, the association urgently corrected the information, stating, "The news of actress Yoon Seokhwa's passing is not true."
The association further clarified, "Actress Yoon Seokhwa is currently fighting a brain tumor and is in very critical condition, but it has been confirmed that she is still breathing under the care of her family." They added, "The report of her passing was caused by confusion during the verification process."
