The Korea Fintech Industry Association announced on December 19 that it held a regular board meeting and appointed Kim Hyungwoo, CEO of Travelwallet, and Oh Jongwook, CEO of Waveridge, as additional vice presidents.
Travelwallet is a company leading the overseas financial infrastructure market by launching 'TravelPay,' a foreign currency payment service that independently built the world's first cloud-based international payment system (VISA Cloud Connect).
Waveridge is a fintech company that launched 'Dolfin,' the first digital asset prime brokerage platform in Korea exclusively for institutions and corporations, providing integrated services such as digital asset exchange brokerage and custody for institutional and corporate clients. The company is supporting the stable establishment of digital assets in the domestic market.
The Korea Fintech Industry Association is the largest fintech network organization in Korea, representing the interests of fintech companies as a non-profit corporation authorized by the Financial Services Commission. More than 540 fintech companies leading digital financial innovation in various fields are participating as member companies.
