Dong-Eui University (President Han Suhwan) has opened the "Beauty Living Lab," which will serve as an innovation research institute in the beauty sector.

The Beauty Living Lab held its opening ceremony on December 8 as part of the RISE project, aiming to lead the Busan-style K-Beauty industry.

Approximately 50 guests and officials attended the ceremony, including Dong-Eui University President Han Suhwan, RISE Project Director Lee Imgeon, RISE Project Deputy Director Kim Sunghee, Beauty Innovation Research Institute Director Heo Changsoon, Busan Technopark President Kim Hyunggyun, Busan Technopark Life Industry Director Shin Suho, Busan Cosmetics Association President Kim Kyuhun, and Busan Women Entrepreneurs Association President Ban Myungsook.

Located on the third floor of the Changui Hall, the Beauty Living Lab offers systematic education and practical training programs to nurture K-Beauty professionals with strong on-site capabilities. It also supports local beauty-related companies by providing quality testing and safety assessments for cosmetics, assists prospective entrepreneurs and businesses with the production of cosmetic prototypes, and offers business consulting to help foster startups.

Heo Changsoon, Director of the Beauty Innovation Research Institute, emphasized, "The Beauty Living Lab is an innovation space platform focused on practical demonstration, where universities, companies, and the local community participate together. We aim to make the Busan region a core hub of the K-Beauty industry by advancing the local bio-health sector."

On the same day, Dong-Eui University signed a business agreement with Busan Technopark and the Busan Cosmetics Association to promote the activation of the Beauty Living Lab and foster practical talent.

Through this agreement, the institutions will cooperate in joint planning and activities related to the RISE project, operation of educational programs and discovery of industry-academia collaboration projects, strengthening cooperation through industry-academia-research linkages, and promoting community contributions and global exchanges.

President Han Suhwan of Dong-Eui University stated, "As the world faces an era of global aging, the bio-health sector is drawing attention, and K-Beauty's competitiveness is outstanding. By combining the research capabilities of local companies and universities, we can enhance the competitiveness of Busan's beauty industry and develop it into a Busan-style beauty industry cluster."
