The task force meeting, held at the Ministry of National Defense Annex on this day, was attended by director-general level officials from ten related ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nuclear Safety and Security Commission, Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, Ministry of Science and ICT, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Defense Acquisition Program Administration, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Naval Headquarters.
The task force was formed with the participation of multiple ministries, considering that the nuclear-powered submarine project is a national strategic initiative linked to various areas such as military, diplomacy, and security.
The Ministry of National Defense stated, "Going forward, we will continue to closely cooperate with related ministries and agencies, consider a range of issues regarding nuclear-powered submarines in a step-by-step manner, and review ways for the task force to develop into a continuous and systematic government-wide consultative body."
