According to the county on the 18th, this training was organized to enhance understanding of the pilot project’s policies and strengthen field response capabilities. It was conducted for all government employees.
The lecture was personally led by Sunchang County Governor Choi Youngil, who provided a detailed explanation of the purpose and vision of the pilot project, plans for securing funding, and future implementation strategies.
During the lecture, Governor Choi stated, "The basic income for farming and fishing villages is not just a welfare measure, but a core strategy for the sustainability and revitalization of Sunchang County. As important members of the county administration, it is crucial for government employees to have an accurate understanding of the policy and to respond to civil complaints consistently."
This training focused on ensuring that government employees clearly understand the key aspects of the pilot project, enabling them to provide more professional explanations and guidance when interacting with county residents.
In particular, it is expected to strengthen the foundation for interdepartmental collaboration and contribute to the smooth implementation of the project during future resident education and practical application, minimizing confusion.
The county plans to continue advancing the project operation manual, refining performance indicators, strengthening interdepartmental cooperation, and conducting promotional and educational activities for residents, with the goal of establishing itself as the "model for basic rural income in Korea."
Concluding the training, Governor Choi Youngil remarked, "The Basic Income Pilot Project for Farming and Fishing Villages is a significant turning point in shaping the future of our region, and every public official involved is a key player in this process. I hope everyone will do their utmost in their respective roles to ensure this policy earns the trust of our residents."
