The Cheongsong County Council of the National Unification Advisory Council (Chairperson Shin Sunhee) will hold the 'Peaceful Unification Empathy Talk Concert with Residents' at 2:00 p.m. on December 19 at the Grand Performance Hall of the Cheongsong Culture and Arts Center.
This talk concert is an event that interprets peace and unification through cultural sensibility. The Pyongyang Arirang Performance Troupe has been invited to deliver a message of peace on the Korean Peninsula to local residents through a blend of traditional and modern dance and music.
In addition, a lecture titled 'South and North Korea as Seen by North Korean Defectors' will be held, and the Pyongyang Arirang Performance Troupe is expected to offer a moving experience that both South and North Koreans can relate to, with their elaborate choreography and diverse stage production.
Chairperson Shin Sunhee stated, "Arirang is the most familiar cultural language connecting the South and the North," and added, "I hope this performance will be a valuable opportunity for residents to naturally feel the meaning of unification and to share a future-oriented sense of peace together."
