Expansion of AI, Rise of Physical AI, and Transition to SDV in the Spotlight
"Deloitte to Provide Dedicated Business Spaces and On-Site Corporate Support"
It is anticipated that CES 2026, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, will serve as a "stage for execution and validation," where innovative technologies are applied and verified on-site.
On December 18, Deloitte Korea Group announced, "Ahead of CES 2026, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA from January 6 to 9 (local time), we have published the 'CES 2026 Preview' report."
CES 2026 is an event where attendees can gain a comprehensive view of future technologies and industrial changes in fields such as mobility, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, home appliances, and healthcare. This year's event, under the slogan "Innovators Show Up," is expected to showcase numerous cases where technological innovation is applied to real industries and everyday life.
"From Vision to Validation"... Numerous Real-World AI Applications to Be Unveiled
Deloitte highlighted that the most significant feature of CES 2026 is its evolution into a "stage for execution and validation," where innovative technologies move beyond the vision and concept phases to be applied and verified in real-world settings. In particular, with AI being actively integrated into products and services, many global companies are expected to present practical application cases.
Additionally, through the newly established "CES Foundry," core technologies such as AI, blockchain, quantum, and cybersecurity will be brought together in one space. Deloitte analyzed that CES is transforming from a simple exhibition into a "foundry" where technology is created and validated.
Deloitte identified seven key points of interest for CES 2026: the expansion of AI, device operating systems (OS), commercialization of physical AI, the major transition to software-defined vehicles (SDV), the participation of infrastructure technology, life healthcare, and the technological offensive from China. As AI spreads, the importance of infrastructure such as power and data centers is increasing, and Deloitte expects fierce competition in "full-stack AI infrastructure," which combines high bandwidth memory (HBM), networks, storage, and software. The competition for integrated operating systems that connect various devices-such as home appliances, automobiles, and industrial equipment-into a single software ecosystem is also coming to the forefront, with global companies' OS ecosystem strategies highlighted as a core point of interest.
The Rise of Physical AI... Next-Generation Manufacturing, Logistics, and Construction Robots to Be Unveiled
Physical AI was also identified as a major point. There is a strong possibility that next-generation robot models, which combine industrial robots used in manufacturing, logistics, and construction with autonomous driving, vision, and voice AI, will be unveiled. In addition, other major issues include AI infrastructure technology that is reshaping power, cities, and industries; the AI-enabled transformation of vehicles; the expansion of digital healthcare into treatment and daily health management; and the aggressive push by Chinese companies in all sectors, including electric vehicles (EVs), robots, and home appliances.
The report reorganizes the seven major trends by topic and industry, and even suggests routes through the exhibition halls to help attendees experience these trends firsthand. According to the report, participants can visit key exhibition areas along the suggested routes to see how each trend is being realized in different industries.
Deloitte will also provide on-site support for Korean corporate clients at CES 2026. The Korean division's representatives and partners will participate locally to conduct business meetings and collaboration discussions. Dedicated business lounges, "Deloitte Skybox," and private meeting and demo spaces, "Skybox Lab," will be set up on the second floor (W234, W235) of the West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) to support networking. Expert conference sessions, VIP networking events, and exhibition tours will also be organized.
Bae Jaemin, CEO of Deloitte Consulting Korea, stated, "At CES 2026, a variety of AI technologies, including physical AI, will be applied across industries, and new innovation cases will emerge in infrastructure, digital healthcare, and entertainment. Deloitte will actively support these technological changes so that they translate into strategic decision-making and performance for our clients."
Deloitte's CES-related materials are available on the "Deloitte Insights" app and website.
