Industrial AX specialist company Simplatform announced on December 18 that it was selected as an outstanding company for the 'Inter-Ministerial Collaboration-Based AI Diffusion Project,' organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT, and received a ministerial commendation.
Through this project, Simplatform developed an AI-based badminton coaching solution for the national team of athletes with disabilities and successfully demonstrated artificial intelligence technology specialized for the sports sector. As a result, the company was recognized for both its technological capabilities and its contribution to the public good.
The award-winning AI coaching solution automatically analyzes match footage using AI and provides visualized data on each athlete's movements, swing patterns, and strategic elements. This solution reduced the time required for match analysis from over eight hours to less than one hour, and significantly improved the efficiency and accuracy of coaching by supporting the development of customized strategies. Notably, it marks a meaningful shift from training methods that relied on the coach's experience and intuition to a data-driven, scientific training system.
Simplatform is also leading the way in the social diffusion of AI technology. Recently, the company showcased this technology at 'Dubai GITEX 2025,' the world's largest ICT exhibition, and is actively pursuing entry into the global market, including discussions on export cooperation with the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC).
CEO Lim Daekeun stated, "This is an example that demonstrates how both fairness and performance in sports can be enhanced," adding, "We will lead AI-driven innovation in sports by expanding into various disciplines and industries in the future."
Meanwhile, Simplatform has been supplying AI solutions across various sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, public services, and sports, based on its industrial AX platform 'Nubison.' The company explained that its data processing and analysis capabilities, along with its field application experience accumulated in industrial and public sectors, contributed to the development of the AI coaching solution for the national team of athletes with disabilities. Simplatform is the first technology specialist among domestic B2B AI companies to be listed on KOSDAQ.
