As the Korean won to US dollar exchange rate continues to soar, the display board at the Hana Bank dealing room in Jung-gu, Seoul, shows the won-dollar exchange rate and the KOSPI on December 18. On this day, the won-dollar exchange rate opened at 1,477.3 won, down 2.5 won from the previous day, after surpassing 1,480 won during intraday trading for the first time in eight months just a day earlier.
