New AI Strategy Team Established
Ridibooks, a content platform company, announced on December 18 that it held an internal AI contest, the 'HI, AI Contest,' to enhance the AI capabilities of its employees.
This contest was designed to allow all employees, regardless of whether they are in development or non-development roles, to directly explore and apply AI in their work, building on the spirit of challenge fostered by the annual Demo Week.
With the theme of 'Working with AI,' the contest invited participants from various departments to submit ideas and experiences gained from using AI in their actual work processes. The final candidates were developed into functional prototypes through collaboration with the Development Center, and their practical applicability and scalability were evaluated, going beyond simple proposals. The three winning entries were selected through a company-wide presentation, executive review, and employee voting.
The grand prize was awarded to a case where four bots were implemented to automate the entire financial workflow. This entry received high marks for its applicability and scalability in real work settings. Other ideas shared included using large language models (LLMs) and generative AI to reduce work time or automate repetitive tasks, offering practical solutions that could be immediately applied to daily operations.
To spread the AI use cases discovered through this contest across the organization, Ridibooks recently established the 'AX (AI Transformation) Team,' dedicated to AI strategy, and plans to gradually strengthen employee training and provide a variety of AI experimental environments.
A Ridibooks representative stated, "Through this contest, we were able to identify AI applications that can be immediately utilized in the workplace," adding, "Going forward, we plan to reduce repetitive work through AI-based work systems and create an environment where employees can focus on more creative tasks."
