According to the city on December 18, the 'Changwon Freshman Support Fund' is a program that offers up to 1 million won per person (500,000 won each for the first and second semesters) to students who graduated from high schools in Changwon and entered universities within the city, provided they were registered residents of Changwon for at least one year as of March 4 this year and are under the age of 34.

Through the first round of applications in March and April, the city provided 1,002 million won in first semester support funds to 2,002 students in June. This support continued not only at the beginning of the academic year but also through the completion of the first year, making it even more meaningful as it enabled freshmen to focus more stably on their studies and university life throughout the year.

Jung Sookyi, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, stated, "I hope the Freshman Support Fund has been a practical help for new students balancing academics and campus life," adding, "We will continue to pursue support policies that young people can truly feel in their daily lives, so they can learn, stay, and thrive in the region."
