Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority to Hold Year-End Concert with the Local Community

To Be Held at Expo Hall, Yeosu World Expo Center on December 19-20

Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA, Acting President Hwang Hakbeom) announced that it will host the 'Yeosu Expo Hope Sharing Year-End Concert' at the Expo Hall in the Yeosu World Expo Center for two days, from December 19 to 20, to deliver a new message of hope to the local community, which has been experiencing stagnation due to the crisis in the Yeosu and Gwangyang industrial complexes.

This event will take the form of a hope concert, using cultural content to express solidarity and empathy for overcoming the regional industrial crisis. By combining broadcast and live performances, the program is designed to share messages of hope not only with the audience on-site but also with a broader group of citizens.

On December 19, one of Yeosu MBC Radio's flagship programs, 'Park Sungeon's Music Restaurant,' will be held as a visual radio concert. Under the theme 'Life Is Beautiful,' the stage will feature music that expresses everyday emotions and stories. Singer-songwriters Jang Deulle, Lee Chansol, and the Heritage Mass Choir will perform live, engaging closely with the audience.

On December 20, a public broadcast of the MBC nationwide TV program 'Trot Class' will take place. With the slogan 'All Together Hi-Five!', performers including Nayoung, Bae Ahyeon, Miss Kim, Choi Yunha, and Choi Hongrim & Han Sooyoung will present a stage that all generations can enjoy together. The performance will also be recorded for broadcast, allowing viewers across the country to share in the excitement of the event.

Through this event, Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority aims to establish the Yeosu World Expo Center as a year-end cultural and tourism hub for both local residents and tourists, and plans to contribute to the revitalization of the Expo Center and the recovery of the local community by continuously hosting cultural events in the future.

Acting President Hwang Hakbeom stated, "I hope this year-end cultural event will give citizens an opportunity to set aside the burdens of daily life, empathize with one another, and find hope through music as they wrap up the year. We will continue our efforts to ensure that the Expo Center becomes a cultural space that breathes together with the local community."
