During the session, the council handled a total of 50 agenda items, including the review of the 2026 main budget bill, 16 ordinance bills proposed by council members, 16 ordinance bills submitted by the executive branch, and 5 consent bills, thereby laying the foundation for next year's municipal administration.
The Special Committee on Ordinance Review, chaired by Lee Sangsook, conducted an in-depth review of a total of 32 ordinance bills, including those proposed by council members and those submitted by the executive branch. As a result, four bills, including the "Partial Amendment to the Yeoju City Urban Planning Ordinance," were rejected, six were approved with amendments, and the remaining bills were approved as originally proposed.
The Special Committee on Public Property Management Plan Review, chaired by Yoo Pilseon, reviewed the "2026 Regular Public Property Management Plan" and approved as originally proposed the acquisition plans for four new projects: the construction of the Yeoju Independence Movement Memorial Hall, the improvement of the parking environment in Guryam-ri, the installation of an arcade at the Yeoju Hangeul Market, and the creation of a basic living hub in Sejongdaewang-myeon.
The Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, chaired by Kyung Kyumyung, reviewed the 5th supplementary budget bill and the 1st revised budget bill for 2025, the 2026 budget bill, and the 2026 fund operation plan. The 5th supplementary budget bill for 2025 was increased by approximately 3.1569 billion won, a 2.63% rise compared to the original budget. The 2026 budget bill was set at a total of 1.044988 trillion won, a 6.53% increase from the previous year’s budget, and was approved with an amendment reflecting a reduction of 801.09 million won in 14 items under the general account.
At the 3rd plenary session, three agenda items for which the Mayor of Yeoju requested reconsideration were presented: the "Yeoju City Single-Person Household Support Ordinance Bill," the "Partial Amendment to the Yeoju City Sports Facility Installation and Operation Ordinance," and the "Partial Amendment to the Yeoju City Agricultural and Fisheries Opportunity Income Support Ordinance." These items were put to a vote in the plenary session but were rejected, as they did not receive the support of at least two-thirds of the attending council members.
