"Pet Welfare and Industry Win-Win Exchange"... Silla University Holds Resident Companies' Roundtable

On December 17, Silla University (President Heo Namsik) announced that the Pet Industry Specialized University Innovation Research Park (I-URP) Project Group had held the "2025 Pet Welfare and Industry Win-Win Exchange Meeting and Resident Companies' Roundtable."


The Silla University I-URP Project Group gathered on December 11 at the Wyndham Grand Busan with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, companies selected for the 2025 industry-academia collaboration technology development projects, resident companies, and more than 30 stakeholders from the pet industry to share achievements for 2025. They also discussed directions for industry development and future cooperation strategies.


The roundtable began with an introduction of the project group and a presentation of future plans, followed by presentations from Song Junho, CEO of Stickers Corporation; Jung Sungwook, CEO of Beyondi; and Park Hyunsoo, CEO of Pet Station. They introduced their companies, shared the results of their technology development projects, and discussed the process of commercialization, presenting successful models based on industry-academia collaboration.


During the dinner and networking session, participants freely exchanged experiences from the technology development projects, discussed operational challenges faced by resident companies, and shared suggestions for improving company support programs. This provided an opportunity to further strengthen the foundation for practical collaboration.


Bae Ilkwon, head of the Silla University I-URP Project Group, stated, "This exchange meeting was a meaningful occasion to reflect on the year's technology development achievements and strengthen networks with participating companies and institutions. We will continue to enhance industry-academia collaboration support to ensure the sustainable growth of the pet industry ecosystem in Busan."
