Machang Bridge Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Sunghwan) has donated 10 million won to Changwon Himchan Hospital (Director Lee Sanghoon) to support surgery costs for neighbors in need.

Since its initial donation of 5 million won in 2019, Machang Bridge has continued to contribute 10 million won annually from 2020, marking its seventh year of participating in the surgery cost support program for underprivileged neighbors.

On the 17th, Changwon Himchan Hospital presented a plaque of appreciation and a commemorative frame to Machang Bridge to express gratitude for its long-term contribution to promoting community health. Representing Director Lee Sanghoon at the event, Administrative Director Lim Samseop and Medical Affairs Team Leader Choi Gwangjin delivered the plaque and discussed the progress of the program and future collaboration plans.

The hospital created a mosaic frame featuring photos of patients who received surgery with Machang Bridge's support and images of both institutions' social contribution activities, set against the backdrop of Machang Bridge, to commemorate the significance of the initiative.

Including this year's donation, the total amount of support Machang Bridge has provided to Changwon Himchan Hospital has reached 65 million won, benefiting 55 patients who had previously fallen through the cracks of the medical welfare system and received assistance with surgery costs. Next year, the hospital plans to select 10 low-income patients in Gyeongnam Province who require joint or spinal surgery, such as knee joint replacement or spinal screw surgery, and provide each with 1 million won in surgery cost support.

Kim Sunghwan, CEO of Machang Bridge, stated, "In addition to supporting surgery costs, we are fulfilling our corporate social responsibility through various social contribution activities, including scholarship programs, public donations, and support for culture and the arts," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in improving the quality of life for local residents and building a healthier society."

Lee Sanghoon, Director of Changwon Himchan Hospital, expressed, "We are deeply grateful for the ongoing donations and warm sharing over the past seven years," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the donations are transparently delivered to neighbors in need, helping them recover joint and spinal health and return to their daily lives."

Machang Bridge's largest shareholder is Macquarie Korea Infrastructure Fund (MKIF), which actively participates in sustainable management activities that prioritize environmental protection, social contribution, and transparent governance. The company is committed to road management for the convenience of provincial residents, industrial accident prevention, and mutual growth with the local community.

In addition to donations from Machang Bridge, Changwon Himchan Hospital has also signed agreements with local governments in Gyeongnam, including Changwon City, Haman County, Hamyang County, and Uiryeong County, to continuously promote surgery cost support programs for low-income groups.
