Enhancing Small Business Support Policies through Integration of Administrative and Financial Data
Through the detailed analysis of local commercial district changes and consumption patterns by linking administrative and financial data, more precise support will be provided to small business owners.
On December 16, Daejeon City signed a "Data Exchange Activation Financial Business Agreement" with Hana Bank (President Lee Hosung) and Hana Card (CEO Sung Youngsoo) to establish a foundation for the sustainable growth of local small businesses.
This agreement aims to provide more sophisticated support policies for small business owners facing complex challenges such as economic slowdown and changes in the consumption environment. Its significance lies in establishing a foundation that enables the detailed analysis of changes in local commercial districts and consumption patterns by linking administrative and financial data.
This year, Daejeon City has implemented a variety of initiatives, including a special low-interest fund of 600 billion won, 27.7 billion won in management recovery support funds-both among the highest levels of policy finance nationwide-as well as rent and labor cost support, and special guarantees for faithful repayment.
The city believes that adding a financial data-based analysis system will greatly help increase the accuracy of its policies and the sense of effectiveness felt in the field.
In accordance with the agreement, Hana Bank and Hana Card will provide Daejeon City with a variety of financial transaction data that can help identify local economic trends and consumption patterns. Based on this data, the city plans to precisely evaluate policy effectiveness and develop tailored support systems for each stage of small business growth, thereby enhancing the overall quality of its policies.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "It is difficult to provide effective support for small business owners without accurate data," adding, "This agreement will serve as a meaningful starting point for closely diagnosing the local economy and delivering necessary policies in a timely manner."
Meanwhile, since March, Daejeon City has been operating the "Small Business Commercial District Analysis Service," providing not only information on the status of local commercial districts and industries to prospective entrepreneurs and small business owners, but also offering high-satisfaction, customized expert consulting in four key areas: management, marketing, technology, and digitalization.
