Hyundai Glovis Earns Top Grade in CDP Climate Change Response Assessment

Hyundai Glovis announced on the 17th that it has received the highest grade, "Leadership A," in the "2025 CDP Climate Change Response Assessment" organized by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a global sustainability assessment agency.

CDP is a global project that requests disclosure of information related to responses to climate change issues from major listed and unlisted companies in various countries, and publishes an annual report based on this information.

It is considered one of the most reliable global sustainability assessment indicators, along with the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) and the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations, as it is used as an investment guideline by financial institutions around the world.

In this CDP Climate Change Response Assessment, Hyundai Glovis was evaluated on more than 140 items across 16 areas related to climate change response, including greenhouse gas emissions and greenhouse gas reduction targets. The assessment grades are divided into a total of eight categories, ranging from Leadership A, Leadership A-, Management B, Management B-, and so on.

Hyundai Glovis received the highest grade for its strong performance in establishing business strategies and response systems for climate change, analyzing potential risks and opportunities, and implementing an internal carbon pricing system that reflects changes in carbon prices and applies these to investment agenda reviews.

Hyundai Glovis is currently implementing a roadmap with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2045. Specifically, since 2024, it has been introducing LNG dual-fuel engine Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs), and plans to expand the fleet to 30 vessels by 2028. As these PCTCs are equipped with Alternative Maritime Power (AMP) systems, they are expected to respond effectively to strengthened environmental regulations, such as the European Union's Emissions Trading System.

Hyundai Glovis also plans to convert 100% of the electricity used at its overseas subsidiaries in the Americas and Asia to renewable energy by 2030, and at its European and domestic headquarters by 2040.

A Hyundai Glovis representative stated, "Going forward, all executives and employees will continue to actively participate in management activities aimed at achieving carbon neutrality and responding to climate change."
