Woori Bank to Support Chung-Ang University's Advanced Engineering Building... Woori Bank announced on the 17th that it had signed a business agreement with Chung-Ang University on the 16th for the construction of the Advanced Engineering Building.


Since opening a branch at Chung-Ang University in 1997, Woori Bank has served as the university's main bank since 2008, operating branches at the main campus, the Anseong campus, and Chung-Ang University Hospital. The signing ceremony was attended by Jinwan Jeong, President of Woori Bank, Sangkyu Park, President of Chung-Ang University, and other key officials from both institutions, who agreed to cooperate for the successful construction of the Advanced Engineering Building.


As the importance of nurturing future talent for the advancement of national high-tech industries grows, Chung-Ang University is working to become a research-oriented university by establishing new advanced departments such as the Department of Intelligent Semiconductor Engineering and is promoting the construction of the Advanced Engineering Building as a research and educational space for these fields.


Woori Bank is also playing a leading role in the "Woori Financial Future Co-Growth Project," which supports 80 trillion won in productive and inclusive finance, and has been expanding its support for advanced strategic industries such as semiconductors and AI through investments and loans.


Jinwan Jeong, President of Woori Bank, stated, "Nurturing talent that can lead the future in the AI era is a crucial task for realizing a nation strong in science and technology. Through this agreement, we aim to establish a mutually beneficial model in which finance and universities grow together, and we will continue to fulfill the social responsibility of finance and the value of co-prosperity by providing a variety of financial programs for students."
