At this policy committee meeting, in-depth discussions were held on the main policy directions for the stable operation and sustainable development of the rural study abroad program, focusing on the "2026 Gangwon Provincial Office of Education Rural Study Abroad Implementation Plan."

In particular, various opinions were presented on topics such as expanding the number of participating schools and establishing a stable operational foundation for the rural study abroad program, strengthening educational and experiential programs that reflect regional characteristics, securing funding including support for student housing expenses, and enhancing cooperation with local governments. In addition, members agreed that the rural study abroad program is making a tangible contribution to the normalization of curricula at small schools and the influx of population into local communities, emphasizing the need for institutional stabilization of the policy.

Deputy Superintendent Oh Seongbae stated, "The rural study abroad program is a Gangwon-style educational policy that provides children with diverse learning opportunities and brings new vitality to local communities. Based on the opinions presented by the committee, we will continue to provide policy support so that the rural study abroad program can be established as a sustainable model for education and settlement."
