Six Agricultural, Livestock, and Marine Products, and 24 Traditional and Processed Foods Selected
On December 16, the Jeonbuk Provincial Government announced that it held the "2025 Jeonbuk Excellent Product Certification Ceremony" at the provincial office, where 32 products from local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with quality and growth potential were selected as excellent products.
Approximately 50 people attended the ceremony, including Governor Kim Kwan-young and representatives of the selected companies. Alongside the awarding of certificates, an exhibition was held to directly introduce the selected products, allowing participants to share the competitiveness and on-site feedback of the excellent products.
The selected excellent products include six agricultural, livestock, and marine products, 24 traditional and processed foods, and two industrial goods, totaling 32 items. These products were evenly selected from 14 cities and counties in the province: Jeonju (8), Iksan (4), Gimje, Sunchang, and Gochang (3 each), Namwon, Wanju, Muju, and Buan (2 each), and Jeongeup, Jinan, and Imsil (1 each).
The selected products will be certified as "Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Excellent Products" for three years, from January 2025 to December 2028, and will receive a certificate and a certification plaque.
The province plans to support certified companies in expanding their sales and strengthening their brand competitiveness through various marketing initiatives, including online promotions, special exhibitions, and brand advertising.
The "Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Excellent Product Certification System" is operated annually through a rigorous screening process to discover and nurture local SME products that are of high quality and have strong future growth potential.
The province conducted a comprehensive evaluation of each company's management capabilities, production facilities, sanitary conditions, and the appropriateness of raw material usage, ultimately selecting products with strong brand image and competitiveness.
Including this new round of selections, there are now a total of 80 products certified as excellent products by Jeonbuk Province. The province plans to continue supporting the sustainable growth of local SMEs through practical marketing and sales channel support.
Governor Kim Kwan-young stated, "The excellent products you have created are representative products of Jeonbuk that residents can trust and choose," adding, "We will actively support Jeonbuk's excellent products so that they can be competitive not only nationwide but also in the global market."
