Starting next year, users will be able to identify certified real estate agencies participating in the 'Gyeonggi Safe Jeonse Project' on Naver Pay (Npay) Real Estate.
On December 16, Gyeonggi Province signed a business agreement with the Korea Association of Realtors and Naver Pay at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government to promote the 'Gyeonggi Safe Jeonse Project.'
This agreement was established to prevent jeonse fraud and to foster a sound real estate transaction culture. Its main focus is to transparently provide residents with verified realtor information through private platforms.
Under the agreement, the three organizations will work on system development and data integration with the goal of launching the service next year. Once the service is launched, residents will be able to easily identify and use reliable real estate agencies (Safe Jeonse Guardians) participating in the 'Gyeonggi Safe Jeonse Project' through the Naver Real Estate platform.
Each organization will play its respective role based on its expertise.

Gyeonggi Province will oversee the project, provide relevant data such as the status of real estate agencies, and offer policy support.
The Korea Association of Realtors will verify and manage participating real estate agents and link their information.
Naver Pay will mark the verified participating real estate agencies with a 'Safe Jeonse Guardian' badge on the Naver Pay Real Estate platform to help residents easily identify them.
The 'Gyeonggi Safe Jeonse Project' is an initiative aimed at eradicating illegal activities such as jeonse fraud and protecting tenants' rights. Through this agreement, information provision via online platforms will be significantly strengthened.
Son Imsung, Director General of Urban Housing at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "To prevent jeonse fraud, it is most important to create an environment where residents can conduct transactions with peace of mind," adding, "We hope that this public-private partnership will provide residents with trustworthy information and help establish a foundation for them to protect their rights."
Meanwhile, this service will undergo system development and is scheduled for official launch in 2026.
