At the first trial held on the 15th by the Incheon District Court Criminal Division 13 (Presiding Judge Kim Gipung), the attorney for Mr. A (25), a used car dealer indicted on charges including attempted robbery-murder, stated, "We generally acknowledge the basic charges," adding, "However, there is room for dispute regarding some specific acts in the indictment, and we will review them and present our position at a later date."

The attorney for Mr. B (23), an acquaintance who was indicted on the same charges, also said, "The defendant has confessed to all charges and acknowledges the facts of the indictment," adding, "We will submit further details in writing after reviewing the records."

The attorney for Mr. C (36), who was indicted for aiding and abetting robbery and injury by lending tools for the crime, also stated their intention to acknowledge the facts of the indictment.

Their second trial is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. on the 23rd of next month.

Mr. A and Mr. B were indicted for luring Mr. D to the parking lot of his apartment at around 10:40 p.m. on October 26, then assaulting him with a blunt object over ten times and attempting to kidnap and murder him in a vehicle.

They transported Mr. D in the vehicle to a cemetery parking lot in Geumsan County, South Chungcheong Province, about 200 kilometers away, but were apprehended at the scene by police who responded to a report.

Mr. D, a well-known gaming YouTuber with about one million subscribers, suffered serious injuries to his face from the severe assault by the suspects.

According to the investigation, Mr. A committed the crime after Mr. D, who had signed a contract for a luxury sports utility vehicle (SUV), demanded the return of his deposit. Mr. A planned to steal Mr. D's money and murder him.
