Public-Private and Financial Sector Collaboration for Regional Coexistence
Expanding Support for Incheon Small Businesses
Building a Sustainable and Healthy Delivery Ecosystem
Meokkaebi Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Incheon Small Business Association and Hana Bank's Gyeongin Business Headquarters on the afternoon of December 15 at the main conference room of Hana Bank's Gyeongin Regional Headquarters. The agreement aims to alleviate the burden on small businesses in the Incheon area and stabilize the delivery brokerage market. With the continued increase in delivery platform fees placing a strain on small business management, this agreement is significant as it represents a joint response by the three organizations to create a more reasonable delivery order environment.
Meokkaebi provides delivery brokerage services based on a reasonable and transparent fee structure to reduce the cost burden on small businesses in the Incheon area. Through this, the company plans to help ease the operational costs for restaurants and support small business owners in running delivery services in a more stable environment. In addition, based on an operating model tailored to local characteristics, Meokkaebi aims to establish itself as a practical alternative platform that Incheon’s small businesses can choose without financial strain.
The Incheon Small Business Association will strengthen its guidance and support for local small businesses as a result of this agreement. By offering a more cost-effective order environment to restaurants that have struggled with the cost structures of existing delivery platforms, the association plans to contribute to the protection of local commercial districts and the stabilization of the delivery brokerage market.
Hana Bank's Gyeongin Business Headquarters will further strengthen its support system for small businesses by leveraging its capabilities as a financial institution and its regional network. By providing information and promoting the Meokkaebi platform to bank customers, the bank aims to help the platform establish a stable presence in the Incheon area and will continue to collaborate to revitalize the local economy.
Meokkaebi will implement an operational strategy tailored to the characteristics of local commercial districts as it enters the Incheon market. The company plans to expand various support activities, such as promotional programs for small businesses, partnerships with local events, and campaigns to boost consumption. At the same time, it will continue to improve order and settlement convenience and user experience to invigorate the local delivery ecosystem.
Jeon Byungkwon, Regional Head of Hana Bank's Gyeongin Business Headquarters, stated, "This agreement is meaningful in that it both reduces the burden on small businesses and creates a more stable environment for delivery service use. As a financial institution, we will continue to cooperate to contribute to the recovery and mutual prosperity of the local economy."
Hwang Kyuhun, President of the Incheon Small Business Association, said, "With the increasing burden of delivery and brokerage fees, this agreement will serve as a practical alternative for small businesses. We hope it will help protect Incheon’s commercial districts and stabilize the market."
Kim Joohyung, CEO of Meokkaebi, commented, "We will expand the tangible benefits for small businesses through a rational cost structure and a region-focused operational strategy. The three organizations will do their utmost to build a sustainable local delivery ecosystem through their cooperation."
