A Woman in Her 60s Who Loved Helping Others Gives New Life to Three and Passes Away Donor Youngsun Oh. Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency

According to the Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency on December 16, Youngsun Oh (67) donated her liver and both kidneys through brain death organ donation at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital on October 20.

Oh collapsed at home on October 12. Her family found her and took her to the hospital, but she never regained consciousness.

Her family decided to donate her organs, hoping that she would leave this world by doing a good deed and saving the lives of others, even in her final moments.

According to her bereaved family, Oh was born in Busan as the fourth of two sons and five daughters, and was known for her bright and sincere personality.

Whenever she saw someone in need, she would step up to help, and when she cooked food, she often shared it with her neighbors.

Her younger sister, Youngae Oh, sent a message to the sky: "Sister, you always loved helping those in need, and I believe every moment of your life was happy because you lived for others until the very end. I hope you are happy in heaven and get to do everything you ever wanted. I love you."
