At approximately 5:23 p.m. on December 15, a fire broke out in a cargo truck traveling toward Naeseo in the Ssaljae Tunnel, Masanhappo District, Changwon City, South Gyeongsang Province.
The fire was extinguished by the fire authorities who responded to the report, taking just over 20 minutes to bring it under control.
No casualties have been reported as a result of the fire.
Access to the Ssaljae Tunnel was restricted for about an hour to deal with the aftermath of the fire, and traffic resumed at around 7:25 p.m.
The police and fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
