The author, identified as Ms. A, wrote, "Recently, while talking with my boyfriend, the topic of paid sex came up. I asked him if he had ever done it, and he replied that he didn't because it's too expensive and not worth the money." She continued, "At first, I didn't think much of it, but then I wondered how he knows it's expensive, and if he says he didn't do it because of the cost, does that mean he would if he had more money? I expected him to say he wouldn't do it because it's dirty."

Most online commenters sided with Ms. A, saying, "That's not normal.
