Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province will operate the "Santa Tourist Taxi" as a special service for two days, from December 24 to 25.
This special operation has been planned to offer visitors to Uljin a unique Christmas atmosphere during the year-end season.
The Santa Tourist Taxi features drivers dressed in Santa costumes personally taking the wheel and traveling to major tourist attractions in Uljin, creating special Christmas memories. Only three vehicles will be in operation for this event, and any tourist visiting Uljin can make a reservation to use the service.
Uljin County expects the Santa Tourist Taxi to create unforgettable memories for children and provide warmth and joy to adults. It is also anticipated to have a positive effect on attracting winter visitors and revitalizing the local economy.
An official from Uljin County stated, "The Santa Tourist Taxi will bring energy and laughter to every corner of Uljin," adding, "Although it is a short period, we hope to give everyone visiting Uljin a special Christmas gift."
Starting with this special operation, Uljin County is considering introducing various events for the tourist taxi and plans to enhance visitor satisfaction by expanding services with different seasonal themes.
